Batu Caves
Batu Caves is a Hindu Temple located at the outskirt of Kuala Lumpur City. These limestone caves are 400 million years old. There is a total of 272 steps leading up to the top of the main cave temple. It consists of three big cave. The world’s tallest Lord Muruga Statue with the height of 42.7m (130 feet high) is located here. This destination attracts a huge crowd during Thaipusam, which is an annual festival for the Indians to pay homage to Lord Muruga. This festival will be celebrated in January or February of every year. This mother nature attraction is the most visited tourist destination.
Selayang Hot Spring
Selayang Hot Spring or local name "Kolam Air Panas" is a very popular place among local. It's believed that the mineral content of the hot spring, which helps in the healing process have cured visitors with illnesses like diabetes, gout, skin problems and many more.
Bukit Melawati (Melawati Hill)
Bukit Melawati (Melawati Hill) at Kuala Selangor was the administrative center and stronghold of the Selangor Sultanate in the late 18th and early 19th Century. A heavily fortified fort once stood on the summit. It was build during the reign of Sultan Ibrahim from 1782 to 1826 to fight against the Dutch. The fort fell to the Dutch in 1784, renamed it 'Altingsburt Fort'. Bukit Melawati is found with relics of the past, Batu Hampar (Execution Rock), Location of New Moon Sighting (Baitulhilal), The Royal Mausoleum, Seven Wells Bukit Melawati, Meriam Penggawa (Chief Cannon), Poisoned Well Bukit Melawati, Light House, Mangrove Forest, View of Malacca Strait, Silver Leafed Monkey and Long Tailed Macaques.
Fireflies Tour
Firefly is a type of insect from the Beetle Family. The Pteroptye tener spicies are the largest species found in Kampung Kuantan. The fireflies here are unique because of its tail that produces light. The light flash by each insect is at an accurate interval of 3 seconds. Imagine watching thousands of fireflies flashing their light at an accurate rhyhm. The fireflies are 6cm in length. The male fireflies flash out brighter lights than the female conterparts. This is because the male must attract the female fireflies during the mating season. The lifespan of fireflies is about 2-3 months.
